FPA 12 investigates adulterated agri-products in Sarangani Province

September 29, 2021 | Sarangani- Fake pesticide products particularly herbicides have been circulating in Region 12 using falsified labels and registration numbers that are not registered with the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority.

This was verified after FPA Region 12 received a report from the PNP of Municipality of Malungon, Sarangani Province on September 17 and 21, 2021.

As reported by complainants, these suspected adulterated products were sold by peddlers directly to the farmers at one thousand pesos (Php 1,000.00) per gallon, which is way cheaper than the FPA registered herbicides.

To avoid the purchase of fake products, FPA highly encourages farmers to buy only from FPA accredited and licensed agricultural dealers and suppliers.

The FPA 12 is now investigating the incident and preparing a necessary action plan to address the concern.
