FPA, CBSUA inks collaboration to strengthen information on the safe and judicious application of pesticides

SAN JOSE, PILI, CAMARINES SUR | September 26, 2023 – To strengthen the education of farmers and communities on the safe and judicious application of pesticides in the Bicol Region, a MOA signing between FPA Bicol Region and Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) was held on September 26, 2023, at Alvaro Rabina Hall, CBSUA, San Jose, Pili, Camarines Sur.

The MOA outlines the interested parties' shared responsibility to strengthen information campaigns on pesticides' safe and judicious application, specifically for CBSUA students.

Present during the MOA signing are the CBSUA officials, namely: SUC President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, Extension Services Director Prof. Vladimir R. Foronda, Campus Administrator Dr. Allan B. Del Rosario, CANR Dean Ms. Edllyne Kaith R. Manlangit, and Dr. Amelia R. Nicolas.

Representatives from FPA RFU5 are Regional Officer (RO) Mr. Gabriel B. Atole, Provincial Officer Engr. Christopher M. Nuñez, and Provincial Officer Ms. Rosie T. Malazar.

Aside from the MOA signing, RO Gabriel B. Atole discussed the roles and initiatives of FPA Region V on pesticide regulations to BS Agriculture students of CBSUA and sugarcane farmers from nearby municipalities. ###
