ASD training and refresher course strengthens 24 agricultural dispensers in Davao Oriental

MATI CITY, DAVAO ORIENTAL | APRIL 20, 2023 – Twenty-four (24) participants from the different municipalities attended the training and refresher course for Accredited Safety Dispenser (ASD) at Baywalk Hotel, Mati, Davao Oriental, last April 20, 2023.

The training was tailored to refresh the attendees on the important concepts and safe use of fertilizer and pesticides. In addition, Presidential Decree 1144 was discussed during the training.

Moreover, Davao Oriental Fertilizer and Pesticide Dealers Association (DOFPDA) Inc. President Rolito Padpad and Vice-President Jesus Bago shared their insights on the importance of ASD training to strengthen the understanding of these safety dispensers in selling fertilizers and pesticides, sharing this information to the farmers, and for the continual growth of the associations in the province.

The participants were evaluated through a series of pre-test and post-test examinations that will be used as the basis for the attendees to be qualified as FPA's Accredited Safety Dispensers.

All 24 participants successfully passed the examination.

Led by Regional Officer (RO) Marrisa Napalit, this training was made possible through the help of Provincial Officer (PO) Rustom Gain Tanduyan, PO Louie Palarao, PO Cheery Agrade, and Agway representative Mr. Ambrosio Bariquit. ###
