05-09 Feb 2018: Strengthening operations and services through planning activities
The FPA conducted the Planning Workshop in Davao City to finalize the 2018 targets and the budget proposals for 2019. Director Wilfredo Roldan set the directions for 2018 while Deputy Director Eric Divinagracia made an overview of the planning activity and facilitated the discussion of the plans and activities for 2018. Each region and division presented their revised budget proposals for 2019.
07 Feb 2018: Expanding the knowledge of FPA personnel by immersing with stakeholders
FPA employees, led by Deputy Director Eric Divinagracia, visited the Tagum Development Corporation (TADECO), located Panabo, Davao del Norte. The employees observed the actual aerial application of fungicide for banana plantations. With them are TADECO officials namely: Dr. Benny Corcolon, Vice President for Research and Development, Benny Llandino, Leaf & Disease Control Manager and Euberto S. Catayas, Technical Manager.
08 Feb 2018: Expanding the knowledge of FPA personnel by immersing with stakeholders
The Tierra Agri technologies Inc (TATI), a licensed fertilizer blending plant located in Ilan, Davao City was also visited. With the FPA group were TATI officials namely: Archilles Arellano, Technical Manager, Daniel Wu of Unilox, Rex Jabel, Supply Chain Manager and Engr. Jay Obregon, Plant Engineer.
14 Feb 2018: Improving FPA services through quality management system
FPA underwent a follow-up seminar as it pursues an ISO certification for the Fertilizer Regulations Division. The seminar was facilitated by Mr. Varian Sherwin Ojeda, the Senior Project Consultant of QConsult, Inc. The division, led by its Chief, Julieta Lansangan, plans to be ISO certified within the year.

21-22 Feb 2018: Boosting the knowledge and skills of industry professionals
The FPA Region VIII, headed by Francis Costas, conducted a training on Accredited Safety Dispenser on Fertilizer and Pesticide held at Andoks Javier, Leyte. Fifty-three (53) participants satisfactorily completed the two-day training program.
21-23 Feb 2018: Enforcing the law and fulfilling the mandate in the field
The FPA Regional Office, led by Supervising Agriculturist Lilia S. Latumbo, conducted a three-day clean-up drive operation among the fertilizer and pesticide handlers in the province of Sorsogon. The clean-up drive aims to monitor products for any adulteration or mislabelling.
23 Feb 2018: Fostering government-industry cooperation through dialogue
The FPA CAR Region, headed by Supervising Agriculturist Rey Segismundo, participated in the dialogue initiated by Mayor Abraham Akilit of Bauko, Mountain Province with the pesticide companies led by CropLife Executive Director Ed de Luna. Farmers and pesticide handlers groups attended said dialogue.

23 Feb 2018: Ensuring compliance with the law through field monitoring
FPA Region XI Officers, led by Estrella F. Laquinta, conducted a clean-up drive operation and plantation audit at Mati City and Municipality of Governor Generoso. This activity is part of the mandate of FPA to ensure product quality and safety and to monitor any unregistered, adulterated, smuggled, and mislabelled products in the market.
26 Feb2018: Enforcing the law and fulfilling the mandates in the field
The FPA Provincial Officer Mr. Negre for Cebu conducted visitation, product monitoring and inspection as part of FPA’s mandate to enforce compliance with PD 1144. Region VII, which the province of Cebu is a component of, is headed by Supervising Agriculturist Arnulfo L. Arausa, Jr.
27 Feb 2018: Fostering collaboration with industry stakeholders
The FPA CARAGA, headed by Supervising Agriculturist Danny S. Negre, spoke during a stakeholders meeting on PD 1144 Review and Updates and Memorandum Circular 11 series of 2017. The meeting also coincided with the election of officers of the SAADA Dealers Association of Agusan del Sur.
27 Feb 2018: Boosting the knowledge and skills of industry professionals
The FPA Region IV, led by Supervising Agriculturist Leticia R. Hernandez, organized a one-day Accredited Safety Dispenser (ASD) Training for fertilizer and pesticide handlers at Seasons Hotel, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. This is part of the mandate of FPA to educate and increase the knowledge of the stakeholders to ensure proper handling of F/P products.
28 Feb 2018: Enforcing the law and fulfilling the mandate s in the field
The officers of Region II, led by Supervising Agriculturist Henry M. Fronda, conducted a Clean-Up Drive dubbed: Operation Baklas of Improperly Posted Promotional Materials along the highway of Nueva Vizcaya. This is part of FPA’s mandate to ensure compliance with PD 1144 and other relevant laws.
