Underweight Fertilizer Implication to Distributors, Dealers and Farmers

1) This ensures that distributors, dealers and farmers get the accurate quantity of fertilizer they are paying for,
2) Distributors and dealers who purchase from suppliers or importers will not incur income losses, and
3) Underweight fertilizers impacts the nutrient requirements of plants that affects crop yield that leads to low productivity, as fertilizer recommendations in kg per-hectare are converted to per-bag basis by farmers as taught by tehnicians.

The Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) would like to remind the public to always be vigilant about establishments selling fertilizer and pesticide products online without the proper License to Operate (LTO). Only buy from duly licensed FPA handlers, you may verify this with our Regional Field Units and the Central Office.

You are enjoined to report the selling of fertilizer and pesticide products online should you encounter one without the proper License to Operate (LTO).

Nais ng Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) na paalalahanan ang publiko na laging maging mapanuri sa mga establisyamento na nagbebenta ng mga produktong pataba at pesticide online nang walang tamang Lisensya sa Operate (LTO). Bumili lamang mula sa mga tamang lisensyadong mga tagapamahala ng FPA na maaaring i-verify sa aming Regional Field Units at sa Central Office.

Kayo ay hinikayat na mag-ulat ng pagbebenta ng mga produktong pataba at pesticide online sakaling makaranas kayo ng ganitong pangyayari na walang tamang Lisensya sa Operate (LTO).

The Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) would like to remind the FARMERS to be vigilant on the fertilizer products being bought from duly licensed FPA handlers. Always ask your dealers to weigh the products (i.e. 50 and 40 kg bags) and make sure that it conforms to their respective weight. Weighing scales are always present to all duly licensed FPA handlers. You are enjoined to report the off-specifications and underweight products should you encounter in the licensed FPA handlers in your area!

Wag mag atubili na ipatimbang ang mga produktong binebenta at siguraduhing ang mga ito ay naaayon sa kanyang timbang. Ang mga timbangan ay laging nakahanda sa lahat ng mga lisensyadong FPA handlers. Ipagbigay-alam lamang sa aming tanggapan kung kayo ay nakakita ng wala sa tamang timbang na produktong fertilizer sa mga lisensyadong FPA handlers sa inyong lugar.

It has come to the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPAs) attention that a number of fake fertilizer products, whether it be unregistered products or imitations, have been circulating in the market recently. The distribution and use of such products, aside from being punishable by law, may and can result in unintended damage to our crops and farmers knowledgeable of the unsound products, which is what we least want during this difficult period.

Hence, the FPA encourages the public to be vigilant and report such incidents to the nearest FPA Regional Field Unit for investigation. As a guide, given below are the prescribed label formats per type of packaging and product. The exact layout needs not to be followed, as long as all the information in the format is given in the label.

Each registered product has its own unique alphanumeric registration number. Since it is unique to a product, then it is the most vital information that the public can use to identify and trace its registration in the FPA. The format for an FPA fertilizer product registration along with its meaning is given as follows:
