
July 14, 2026 | Sipocot, Camarines Sur – More than 150 farmers, agricultural stakeholders, representatives of private agricultural companies, farmers’ associations, and local government personnel participated in the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) Bicol Region’s Information Caravan on the Safe and Judicious Use of Fertilizers and Pesticides held on July 14, 2026, at the Sipocot Activity Center, LGU Compound, Sipocot, Camarines Sur.
The activity aimed to strengthen stakeholders’ knowledge on the proper handling, storage, application, and management of fertilizers and pesticides to promote responsible agricultural practices and improve farm productivity.
During the caravan, resource persons discussed the importance of the safe, responsible, and judicious use of fertilizers and pesticides, including compliance with existing FPA laws, rules, and regulations. Participants were also provided with practical guidance on the proper use of agricultural inputs to help safeguard human health, protect the environment, and ensure the production of safe, high-quality agricultural commodities.
The Information Caravan is part of FPA’s ongoing information and education campaign to equip farmers and other stakeholders with up-to-date knowledge on the responsible use of fertilizers and pesticides. Through activities such as this, the agency continues to promote sustainable agricultural practices while supporting increased productivity and environmental stewardship.
