FRD Inspects Bataan Fertilizer Plant

November 19, 2021. Mariveles, Bataan. The Fertilizer Regulations Division (FRD) conducted an inspection of the fertilizer formulation plant of Seafront Townsite Corporation in partnership with Yara Fertilizers Phils, Inc., as part of the former’s application for license to operate as formulator on November 17, 2021.  The facility is located at Brgy. Townsite, Mariveles, Bataan, a reclaimed area with a dock right next to it.

The FRD inspection team was composed of Ms. Maribel Querijero, Ms. Jane Apostol, and Mr. Mark Kevin Salita who were assisted by Regional Officer Romeo Val Suguitan together with his staff Mr. June Ryan De Leon and Jerson Lopez.

The applicant was determined to be compliant with the requirements for plant inspection on aspects such as organizational structure, raw materials, production process, waste disposal, physical facilities, equipment and machineries, general premises and working conditions, occupational hazards, personal protective equipment, and their health program.  Thus, they were advised to submit the application and requirements as a new formulator.
