QUEZON CITY | July 25, 2023 – Dir. Julieta B. Lansangan took oath before the Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban as the new Executive Director of the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) last July 14, 2023.
Dir. Lansangan, who has served as Officer-in-Charge Executive Director of the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority for eight (8) months, was officially installed as the new leader in hopes of implementing changes for the agency.
Before being appointed as the new director, she was the Division Chief of the Fertilizer Regulations Division (FRD) and led the office in revising the Fertilizer Regulatory Policies and Implementing Guidelines, also known as 'Bluebook,' in 2019.
Furthermore, Dir. Lansangan spearheaded the ISO 9001:2015 Certification in October 2018, covering one core function, which was the issuance of licenses, registrations, and permits on fertilizer.
Throughout the entirety of her leadership, she was noted to be efficient, which brought FRD to achieve new heights.
The recognition she received as the "Most Dependable Employee" of the agency is a attestation of her passion to serve and stand for the agency's legacy and mandate.
Advocacy
"A strong team bonded like a family, just like what every mother wishes for her family. Let us work as a team to reach our goal of fulfilling our mandate. For me, I dream of the following, hoping this will materialize under my leadership."
During her recorded speech for FPA shown during the flag raising ceremony on July 17, she valued the agency in providing the right services to the public while urging its employees to contribute without grabbing credit or competing for importance. Through this, she is encouraging everyone to work interchangeably as possible.
In addition, she echoed her aspirations to push for improvements such as the rationalization plan to be approved by the FPA Board of Directors; execution of authority through border control; push for pro-employee assistance; and the revival of the Pesticide Policy and Technical Advisory Committee.
Under her leadership, she is optimistic about accomplishing the revision of the greenbook, finalizing the enhanced bluebook, and building satellite laboratories to bring more effective service closer to the public.
Dir. Lansangan has been serving FPA since 1986. ###
