The Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) would like to inform the public, most especially the farmers, to be vigilant on the fertilizer product named “PLANTA GRANULAR FERTILIZER”. This product in question has no certificate of product registration (CPR). Moreover, the manufacturing company has no license to operate (LTO) as fertilizer product handler.

We would also like to remind everyone to buy fertilizer products from registered FPA handlers.

The Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) would like to remind the FARMERS to be vigilant on the fertilizer products being bought on duly licensed FPA handlers. Always ask your dealers to weigh the products (i.e. 50 and 40 kg bags) and make sure that it conforms to their respective weight. Weighing scales are always present to all duly licensed FPA handlers. You are enjoined to report the off-specifications and underweight products should you encounter in the licensed FPA handlers in your area!

Ang Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) ay muling nagpapaalala sa publiko na ugaliing maging mapanuri sa mga produktong fertilizer na nabibili sa aming mga lisensyadong FPA handlers. Wag mag atubili na ipatimbang ang mga produktong binebenta at siguraduhing ang mga ito ay naaayon sa kanyang timbang. Ang mga timbangan ay laging nakahanda sa lahat ng mga lisensyadong FPA handlers. Ipagbigay-alam lamang sa aming tanggapan kung kayo ay nakakita ng wala sa tamang timbang na produktong fertilizer sa mga lisensyadong FPA handlers sa inyong lugar.

Only purchase and use FPA-registered products from authorized handlers.

It has come to the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA’s) attention that a number of fake fertilizer products, whether it be unregistered products or imitations, have been circulating in the market recently. The distribution and use of such products, aside from being punishable by law, may and can result in unintended damage to our crops and farmers knowledgeable of the unsound products, which is what we least want during this difficult period.

Hence, the FPA encourages the public to be vigilant and report such incidents to the nearest FPA Regional Field Unit for investigation. As a guide, given below are the prescribed label formats per type of packaging and product. The exact layout needs not to be followed, as long as all the information in the format is given in the label.

Each registered product has its own unique alphanumeric registration number. Since it is unique to a product, then it is the most vital information that the public can use to identify and trace its registration in the FPA. The format for an FPA fertilizer product registration along with its meaning is given as follows:
