FPA bans Fipronil use by banana growers and pesticide registrants
Fipronil, an insecticide being used to kill flies and ticks, has been found to have exceeded the Maximum Residue Limit(MRL) in the Philippine’s banana exports that alarmed Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare—prompting FPA to step in to address the issue.
FPA advocates for gender sensitivity, joins annual Women’s Month celebration
The Gender and Development Focals of the Authority continue to conduct activities for gender awareness and promote gender sensitivity in the workplace. This is in support to the annual celebration of Philippine Women’s Month spearheaded by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) which recognizes the vital contribution of women in nation building and bringing optimism in many sectors.
