To boost internal capacity in delivering regulatory frontline services, the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) hired seven employees with original appointments and promoted two personnel from March to July 1 of this year.
The appointments were recommended by Executive Director Wilfredo Roldan and approved by Secretary William Dar.
Dir. Roldan advised the newly hired employees to uphold integrity and accountability in public service and to become dedicated change agents for the farmers.
For the Central Office, the newly appointed employees are Paul Kristian J. Berjuega, Chemist III (promoted)- Laboratory Services Division, Jonsie Baysa- Administrative Officer V (promoted)- Finance and Administrative Division, Divine Hyacinth E. Elcano, Administrative Assistant II- FAD, Jayar V. Rivera, Agriculturist I- Pesticide Regulations Division, and Kaezelle Anne R. Sambo, Administrative Assistant III- LSD.
On the other hand, four agriculturists were hired for the Regional Field Units: Robilyn O. Sarmiento, Agriculturist II- FPA RFU III, Roel P. Valde, Agriculturist II- RFU III, John Mark A. Manangan, Agriculturist II- RFU I, and Jennie M. Basilio, Agriculturist II- RFU XII.
The newly appointed employees had undergone virtual orientation on 20 July 2020 in compliance with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Memorandum Circular No. 14, s. 2018 or the 2017 Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions, Revised 2018 (ORA-OHRA).
